Rainbowskies - Salvation

All men are in need of salvation for all have sinned. (Romans 3:22-24, Romans 5:17-18) Sin is a serious matter with God. The seriousness of sin is evident in the price that God was willing to pay to redeem us. (John 3:16) Unless one accepts God’s plan of salvation, he will be lost for all eternity. Salvation is the free gift of God, but there are conditions for receiving this free gift. First one must believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that through Him only can we obtain salvation. (John 3:17-18, Acts 4:11-13) Acceptable faith requires obedience to God's will. (James 2:26) Upon believing, repentance is necessary for salvation. (Luke 13:3) Repentance is a change of will, deciding to follow the will of Jesus and not self. Confession of one’s faith is also a requirement. Romans 10:9-10 Confession is not just a one time statement of belief, but a continual statement shown through one’s life. Baptism, immersion in water, is a condition for anyone wanting to be a part of the body of Christ. (Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21) Without baptism, then all is for naught. After one has put on Christ through baptism, then a life of service to God is required to receive eternal life. (2 Peter 1:5-10)

Salvation is open to anyone willing to follow God’s commandments and life by His will. The Bible shows us the way. Please accept God’s invitation.
